01 / Build your question guide

What matters
in your day?

Select the topics you want to discuss. Your guide updates immediately. Selections stay in this page only and reset when you leave.

MY COASTLINE CONVERSATION GUIDE

Start here.

  • What does my examination show about my options?
  • What benefits, risks, and alternatives should I weigh?
  • What follow-up would I need, and who would I call with a concern?

3 foundational questions. Choose topics to add more.

A conversation planner, not medical advice or an eligibility assessment.

02 / Think beyond procedure day

Give recovery
some space.

Your surgeon's instructions take priority. Healing and return to activities vary by procedure and person.

BEFORE

Make the plan practical.

Ask when to stop contact lenses before measurements. Arrange transport, time off, and any support you may need.

PROCEDURE DAY

Plan for a quiet return.

Expect to need a ride home. Clarify how to use prescribed drops and eye protection, and how to reach the team.

EARLY RECOVERY

Keep your follow-up.

Healing checks matter even if vision seems good. Do not rub your eyes. Ask before resuming driving, exercise, or eye makeup.

LOOKING AHEAD

Stay in the conversation.

Vision can change during healing. Talk about dryness, light sensitivity, or night-vision concerns at follow-up.

Know when to call.

Contact your eye care clinician promptly for severe pain, worsening vision, or new or worsening symptoms after surgery. Do not wait for a routine follow-up.
